Dolores Davis has worked with CG&S since 1994, and even had stints before then serving as an assistant to her mother, Stella Guerrero, who cofounded the company with Clarence Guerrero in 1957. Initially a receptionist, she took on more and more responsibility as her brothers transitioned out of the business. After becoming office manager, she began to oversee all production in the 2000’s, and eventually, General Manager. In the summer of 2018 she took on majority ownership along with husband Stewart Davis, making her head of the company.
Dolores has been active with the Austin chapter of NARI (the National Association of the Remodeling Industry) for more than a decade, and served in every board position including President in 2007–2008. This interest extends to the national level. She held an Education Committee chair for NARI, and has traveled extensively across the United States meeting others in distant markets, whether for NARI or her peer networking group, Remodelers Advantage. At the core of this engagement is a passion for supporting the industry, but also the quest to understand how to do remodeling and construction differently, better.
Her areas of interest include advanced building technology, new systems and procedures, accessibility and universal design, and a local focus on workforce development in the construction trades.
