Carlos Moreno is the founder of Lonestar Home Solutions, a design-build remodeling firm located in Seguin, TX. Prior to dedicating his time to growing his company, he worked as a process engineer for Continental Automotive in Seguin. During his tenure at Continental, he and his wife began investing in real estate. They purchased their first rental property at the age of 23 and together, they continue to expand their real estate portfolio and consider this another business. Additionally, Carlos and his wife own a functional fitness gym called Elevation Fitness, boasting a membership of over 80 individuals. The gym's mission is to help its members achieve fitness, medication-free living, and freedom from pain.
Carlos has a strong passion for the progress of Seguin and contributes by serving on various boards and committees. In 2014, he was honored as the Citizen of the Year for his leadership as the chair of the bond election committee. His efforts played a pivotal role in securing community support for initiatives such as Seguin High School, the library, and Park West. Presently, he holds the position of Board President for the Seguin Economic Development Corporation, and he is a board member for both the Seguin Chamber and Habitat for Humanity. More recently, he established a non-profit construction trades booster club with the mission to enrich the educational opportunities for students pursuing skilled trades through community engagement.
Carlos enjoys challenging himself both physically and mentally, viewing it as a way to maintain focus, structure, and peak performance. He participates in CrossFit competitions, and practices barefoot running. This year, he accomplished the feat of running a barefoot marathon to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity and successfully qualified for the quarterfinals in the 2022 and 2023 CrossFit Open.
Carlos and his wife Cindy have been happily married for 22 years and are the proud parents of three healthy boys. Their family is deeply rooted in their Christian faith and they are grateful to be active members of their community. Carlos holds a degree in engineering from Texas A&M University.
